    So cool but …
So cool but I will stick with the nook until plastic logic’s platform becomes more mature. I love the use of e-paper and I want color. This device is cool but if it is going to be priced at the same point as the other e-book readers it needs to be faster. I love the size and all and I would get one in a heartbeat, only if it was a bit faster than what is on offer.

    Google ‘Plastic …
Google ‘Plastic Logic’ – it’s wired and wireless.

I use annotations on my PRS-600 quite a lot.

    Can you show me …
Can you show me anything that is approaching market that is like this, in terms of size, annotation support, plastic electronics, open-format support etc, ven before you start talking about the plastic electronics? There is nothing close to this right now as far as I can see. The Asus is a different beast altogether – and it’s not out yet either, so there’s a race to market. I’m not yet excited about colour e-ink – no-one’s demo’ed a workable solution to that yet.

    Waste of time. …
Waste of time. Plastic Logic is too little, too late. Had they come out last year, it would be a different story. Also: Asus ereaders are coming out by year end, basically a thin tablet PC/ereader; two versions, a one tablet and a two-tablet folding ereader. IN COLOR. NO DOCUMENT TYPE LIMITATIONS.

R.I.P. Plastic Logic, Kindle, Sony, iRex, etc.

    How are the …
How are the documents getting on the reader? No word on that. Wireless? Bluetooth? They say they are focusing on “business use,” so does that mean it will support Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the equitable Apple apps? Final cost to be competitive with Kindle for JUST business applications…hmmmm…don’t know how competitive that will be. BTW, their “drawing” little circles and stars on the screen looks gimmicky. Cool, but practical application? No.
