Is the NOOK, KINDLE EREADER, or IPAD better? »

Is anyone aware of the process for publishing eBooks on the major platforms (Kindle, Nook, Sony eReader, etc)?

I represent a small author who would like to make his books available as digital copies. I have gotten some published on the Kindle, but want to take advantage of other venues as well. Any help is appreciated!

You can publish for the Kindle directly through Amazon.com.

You can publish ebooks in several formats at Smashwords.

Both take a percentage when you make a sale, but do not charge you to offer your ebooks for sale on their sites.
